This is my first post for 2016 so Happy New Year! Typically, at the start of a new year, many people, including myself, set goals or “resolutions” that are sometimes unsurmountable to achieve. This year, I would like to set goals that enrich my character and integrity so that I can be a better person.
Even to me, that sounds impressive but without being too hard on myself, I just want to be a better me. In order for me to achieve that goal, I am going to focus on three concepts so that I can maintain my focus and stay on track throughout the year. The purpose is to be able to look back on 2016 and proudly identify my tangible contributions to society and to myself. I challenge you to do the same.
My three concepts are: To try to always be present for my family and friends, partake in volunteer work, and to take risks in my personal and professional lives. I believe that those three philosophies will aid me in showing consideration for others, contributing to society, and becoming a stronger, independent woman.
For starters, by the end of January, this blog will become a more interactive forum, and I will solicit public feedback. I will be going public via social media. To my many viewers who have supported me through word of mouth, I plead for your continued support as I take on this new challenge.
I bid you happiness, good health and success in 2016.
Peace and Blessings,
